In the Settings menu, located on the left sidebar, click on the Settings icon.
Here, you'll see three main sections in the left sidebar:
Script Hosting Location: Configure where your cookie consent scripts are hosted
Notification Settings: Manage email notifications for scan results
Script Change Logs: View and download script version history
Locate and click on Script Hosting Location. Here, you can choose where to host the script responsible for managing your cookie banner and preference center.
Option A: Lightbeam System Hosting
When you select Lightbeam System as the hosting location, Lightbeam automatically hosts and serves the Cookie Consent script for you. No additional configuration is needed to support the functionality of the cookie banner and preference center.
Option B: Your Own System Hosting
If you choose Your Own System to host the script, follow the steps below to ensure the cookie banner and preference center work properly on your site.
In the Sections menu, located on the left sidebar, click on the Notification Settings.
At the top right of the domains table, click on the Edit Settings button.
In the Edit Settings menu, you can:
Use the + and - icons to add or remove email addresses for notifications regarding scan results.
Email IDs for individuals who should receive email updates about scan results for each specific domain.
The Script Versioning feature introduces a robust version control system for your cookie consent implementation, preventing accidental changes from affecting your live websites.
Every configuration change now creates a new script version
Changes don't automatically update on your website
You control when to deploy new versions
All changes are tracked by version number
Configuring Script Versions
In the Sections menu, located on the left sidebar, click on the Script Change Logs.
View the list of all configuration changes sorted by date
From the Script Change Logs page, select the changes you wish to document
Click the Download button in the top-right corner
Select your preferred format (PDF recommended for audit purposes)
Save the file to your local system
For each script version, the following details are displayed:
Name: The name of the deployed script.
Version Number: The version number associated with each deployment.
Date and Time: The exact date and time of the deployment.
Upload Status: Shows whether the deployment was successful or failed.
