Processing DSR Requests

The DSR Processing workflow provides a structured approach for handling data subject requests. LightBeam offers two implementation paths: the traditional ticketing workflow and the new Self Service option.

The standard DSR processing workflow follows these steps:

  1. View the request form

  2. ID Verification

  3. Update the Status of the Verification

  4. Data Discovery

    • Identify related Data Sources

    • Attributes Detection & Listing of Attribute Instances

    • Attributes Validation

At this point, the Data Protection Officer (DPO) can choose one of two approaches:

Option A: Traditional Ticketing Workflow

  • Assign tickets to Data Source Owners (DSOs)

  • DSOs validate data through the DSO workflow

  • DPO reviews DSO responses

Option B: Self Service Workflow

  • DPO directly validates attributes without creating tickets

  • DPO adds and manages attributes through the Self Service interface

  • Bypasses the need for DSO involvement

Both options continue with these final steps: 5. Report Generation 6. Request Closure
