In LightBeam Playbooks Alerts 2.0, 'Sub Alerts' have been introduced to provide users with more granular control over alert management. Sub Alerts are individual instances of objects that have been impacted by an alert.
When an alert is triggered, it typically affects multiple objects within a data source. Each of these affected objects is now represented as a sub alert, allowing users to take actions on specific objects within an alert, rather than being limited to managing the alert as a whole.
When you navigate to an alert's details page, you will find a table called 'Objects Impacted.'
Each row in this table represents a sub alert, providing information such as Object Name
, No. of Attributes
, Entities
, Classification
, Assignee
, and Object Owner
. This table gives you a clear overview of all the objects impacted by the alert.
To access sub alerts, follow these steps:
Click on the rule set name. For instance, click on 'Attribute with Entity Detect'.
On the right side of the screen, you will see the number of alerts for the given rule set. Click on the alert count.
You will be directed to the Alerts page, where you can see a list of alerts triggered by the selected rule set. Click on the specific alert you want to investigate.
This will take you to the dashboard view of the selected alert. Click on 'Objects Impacted'.
The 'Objects Impacted' table will display the sub alerts associated with the selected alert.
