Email Notifications
LightBeam Playbooks Alerts 2.1 introduces intelligent email notification settings to keep relevant users informed about their assigned sub-alerts while preventing unnecessary spam.
Accessing Notifications Logs:
In the LightBeam console header menu, click on the Playbooks (📖) icon.
Click on the Notifications (🔔) icon to access the Notifications settings.
Email Notifications for Assigned Users
Sub-alert is generated and assigned to an alert owner
Email notification is sent to the assigned user with sub-alert details and a link to access the sub-alert in LightBeam Playbooks
Only assigned alert owners receive email notifications for their assigned sub-alerts
Suppressing Email Notifications for Object Owners
Email notifications are suppressed for object owners who are not assigned as alert owners
When a sub-alert is generated, LightBeam Playbooks checks the alert assignment settings and sends email notifications only to assigned alert owners
Object owners can still view sub-alerts related to their objects by logging in to LightBeam Playbooks
Benefits:
Reduces noise and prevents spamming object owners with unnecessary notifications
Ensures targeted and meaningful email notifications
Encourages object owners to log in to LightBeam Playbooks for a comprehensive view of sub-alerts
