The Alert Owner View is a dedicated interface for users who have been assigned the "Alert Owner" role. It provides a personalized view where Alert Owners can focus on the sub-alerts specifically assigned to them.
When an Alert Owner is added to LightBeam Playbooks by an Admin through the User Management system, they receive an email notification to verify their email address. This verification process ensures that the Alert Owner has access to the registered email account and can receive notifications related to their assigned sub-alerts.
To complete the email verification process, the Alert Owner should:
Open the email notification received from LightBeam Playbooks.
Click on the verification link provided in the email.
Follow the instructions on the verification page to confirm their email address.
Once the email address is verified, the Alert Owner will have full access to the Alert Owner View and can start managing their assigned sub-alerts.
To access the Alert Owner View, follow these steps:
Log in to LightBeam Playbooks using your Alert Owner credentials.
Upon successful login, you will be directed to your personalized Alert Owner Dashboard. In the Alert Owner View, you will see a tailored dashboard displaying the card view of only the databases with sub-alerts assigned to you.
Click on a specific card to view the subalerts in it.
Click on a subalert to view its details.
The sub-alert details page consists of different tabs:
"Overview": Provides a summary of the sub-alert, including key information and metrics.
"Objects Impacted": Shows the number of objects affected by the sub-alert.
"Attributes": Indicates the number of sensitive attributes involved in the sub-alert.
"External Users": Displays the number of external users with access to the impacted objects.
"Audit Logs": Tracks recent activities related to the sub-alert, such as entries indicating object reassignments performed by admins or the system, and records any other relevant actions or changes.
Click on the Object Impacted tab. This will display the list of Objects assigned to the Alert Owner.
By clicking on the Actions button, you can take appropriate actions on the objects, such as:
Resolving
Reassigning
Adding to the permit list to exclude it from future scans
Adding to the no-scan list to prevent scanning of the associated objects
Muting to temporarily suppress notifications.
