LightBeam Diagnostics
Overview
As part of our commitment to continuously improve our product and enhance your experience, we enable diagnostics for LightBeam clusters. Diagnostics will run a set of tests on the cluster daily and generate a report that it shares with the LightBeam support team. The results of the tests from the diagnostics report will be reviewed for any critical errors to proactively identify and address any potential issues, ensuring a smoother experience for you.
What Tests Will Be Run?
Resource Utilization - Diagnostics will monitor key resources such as CPU usage and memory allocation, reporting when there are errors or if any thresholds are exceeded.
Performance Profiling - Diagnostics will observe performance counters to ensure efficient resource utilization. It will profile CPU usage, memory leaks, and database queries among others to optimize the product's performance.
Health Checks - Diagnostics will perform health checks and log any critical component's unavailability, e.g., database connection drops, API endpoint reachability, scan progress issues.
What Data Will Be Collected?
Our diagnostics data will be limited to machine counters and performance metrics. No personally identifiable information (PII) or sensitive data will be included. We respect your privacy, and our commitment to data security remains unwavering.
How Will This Benefit You?
Enabling telemetry will allow:
Detection and resolution of issues before they impact your experience.
Optimizing performance and efficiency of jobs being done by LightBeam.
Delivering timely updates and enhancements.
The diagnostics report will be sent to diagnostics@lightbeam.ai every day around midnight. No action is needed from you to enable this.
